Oregon Twilight
Pastel and Colored Pencil on paper
18.0" x 8.5"
This is a representation of "the golden hour" on the plains of Oregon, near Vale. The original photograph
was taken in July 2009. The Golden Hour refers to the last and first hour or so of the day when the sky and landscape
take on an amber hue because of the position of the sun. In this part of the country, the fields of grain seem to glow
when the light hits them. Fortunately this majic happens twice each day but it is a miraculous occurance nevertheless.
