This is Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church, one of the Painted Churches of Fayette County, and located near Dubina, Texas. The word "Dub" in Czech means "Oak" and refers to the oak trees that were in the area
when the first Moravian settlers arrived. As picturesque as these churches are on the exterior they are even more beautiful
on the inside. Decorative paintings and stenciling grace the walls and the ceiling, evoking for the hardy people who
made a new home on the Texas frontier, echoes of the grand buildings they left in their homeland.
