This was one of those uninhabited stretches of country road that you can find only when you are willing to become totally disinterested in following a map and simply go where the road leads.  It's a simple decision at a crossroads to either go to the left or to the right, depending on which way looks the more interesting and it's been my experience that the backroads of anyplace usually end up somewhere that can be identified on a map.  As long as you eventually emerge from the wilderness on a major throughfare, a day of exploration in the country is time will spent.
